Troubleshooting & FAQs

Solve common NIN record errors, wallet billing questions, and photo issues.

When running NIN and BVN retrievals, you may occasionally encounter record errors, missing photos, or billing questions. This guide helps you identify and resolve these issues immediately without wasting credits.

NIMC Record Issues

Why does a returned NIN record not have a profile photo?
This can happen when the NIN requires validation due to a photographic error during enrollment or when no usable photograph is available in the NIMC record. If the photograph is blank, you should advise the customer to visit a NIMC center for assistance.
What is “No record found” and why does it happen?
A “No record found” response occurs when the database has no record matching the search parameters you entered. This is usually caused by entering an incorrect NIN or phone number, making typos in the demographic details, or because the customer's NIN enrollment is incomplete or not yet synchronized on the central NIMC database. If a search returns no record, your wallet is not charged.
The retrieved details do not match the customer. What should I do?
Always preview the returned demographic details first. If the name, photograph, or date of birth does not match your customer, do not download the slip. Double-check your search parameters or ask if they guessed the phone number used at enrollment.

Wallet & Charges

What happens if a search finds nothing?
You are not charged. The search fee is only deducted from your balance when a record actually comes back from the database. A search with wrong details costs you nothing but the time it took.
Can I re-download a slip I already paid for?
The same slip type off the same search is free to download again as long as the result remains on your screen. If you close the page, refresh the tab, or request a different format (e.g., switching from Standard to Premium), it is treated and charged as a new search.
How does wallet funding work and what are the fees?
Funding your balance incurs your bank's transfer charge plus a flat ₦50 gateway fee. Because the ₦50 fee is flat, sending larger transfers (e.g., ₦5,000 instead of ₦500) ensures more of your money goes directly toward searches.

Trust & Data Privacy

Is this service legitimate?
Idyntic is operated by Apexly Technologies Limited and accesses the NIMC database through authorized third-party identity verification providers. You are responsible for ensuring you have the customer's permission before running any searches.
Do you keep my customers' personal data?
No. The record you see after a search is held in your browser's temporary memory for as long as that page is open and is never written to our database. Close the tab and it is gone. We only keep the bookkeeping logs (who searched and what it cost) for billing purposes.
